I just got the word from Carol Queen that there will be a memorial for Bill Brent on September 26, gather at 6 pm and memorial at 7pm, at the Center for Sex and Culture. It will be a public affair. (Please note, the original post said September 9th — it has been moved.)
R.I.P., Bill. Hope to see many of you on the 26th for fond remembrances of the man, the legend and the legacy.
I found the picture above on what appears to be Michael Walker‘s Awakened Man. I know nothing about it other than what I surmise from this. I hope it’s okay with Mr. Walker for me to reuse it, as it just about broke my heart.

Hi Thomas — any chance the date could be moved to something that isn’t the tail end of Yom Kippur? Those of us who will have been fasting since sunset on the 25th would have a very hard time attending such a service.
Cliff — I didn’t schedule it, the Center for Sex and Culture did. But unfortunately, I do know that people are coming from Texas, Wisconsin, Hawaii…so I doubt it could be changed at this point. The Center for Sex and Culture would know for sure.
